New Home Co., a California-based builder, is significantly growing its presence in Colorado through a series of recent land acquisitions. These purchases will bring 1,087 new homes to Colorado’s Front Range, spread across six communities.
Three of the new neighborhoods will be located in Aurora, with additional developments planned in Golden, Thornton, and Mead. While the purchase prices were not disclosed, the combined projects are projected to generate over $750 million in future homebuilding revenue.
The builder originally entered the Colorado market in 2021 through its acquisition of Epic Homes. Since then, it has continued to invest in the region, targeting high-growth markets throughout metro Denver with an eye toward becoming a top five builder in the area.

Here’s a breakdown of the company’s upcoming developments:
Murphy Creek (Aurora): New Home Co. recently finalized the purchase of 91 homesites in this master-planned golf course community. Many of the detached homes will border the publicly accessible city-owned golf course.
Harvest Crossing (Aurora): The company is in the final stages of acquiring 227 homesites in this upcoming neighborhood, which will feature 89 two-story townhomes and 138 two-story duplexes.
Windler (Aurora): Plans are in place to build 110 homes consisting of duplexes and alley-loaded single-family homes in this master-planned community. Sales are expected to launch in Q1 of 2025, with prices starting in the high $400,000s.
Golden Overlook (Golden): Development is underway on 91 detached homes in one of the few large-scale new-home projects in Golden in the past ten years.
Talon Pointe (Thornton): Construction has begun on a collection of 361 residences.
Mead: Building is expected to start in late 2025 on 207 single-family homes, with sales beginning in early 2026. Pricing will likely start in the high $500,000s.
In addition to these new projects, New Home Co. is currently selling homes in several active neighborhoods: Millstone in Columbine, Woodrose at Painted Prairie in Aurora, and The Villas Collection at Sterling Ranch in Littleton. In October, the company also opened The Cottages Collection at Ridgeline Vista in Brighton.
New Home Co.’s expansion is backed by capital investment from funds managed by Apollo Global Management, allowing the company to act competitively in both land acquisition and homebuilding across Colorado.
